A US DJI drone will obey all flight restrictions in local jurisdictions globally. Controllers configure power output dynamically based on location. It would be foolish to design and manufacture different, customized drones for each, or even a few jurisdictions around the globe.

It's the first time I've ever applied for or used a Custom Unlock so maybe this is normal/my fault but I'm confused. When I transfer/unlock the license to the drone I just get a message that says "Altitude Zone 0ft" in the area that usually says "Authorized Zone" or "Takeoff Permitted" or "In Flight" etc. It never changes but it does let me fly.

500M is the real restriction, as its hard-coded into the USA mavic's. You can increase your max altitude by going into the DJI Go 4 app, go to settings, then click the aircraft icon, and scroll all the way to the bottom. the setting will be there. wshsqb07 • 7 yr. ago.
Hi, Since a view days I also own the Mavic Mini. While in the dji GO 4 app it is fairly easy to unlock restricted zones it did not work with the dji Fly App. I need this as I live in a fully restricted zone (close to the Vienna Airport) but there is a huge indoor flight hall. As long as I dont get GPS signal I can fly indoors but once GPS is received the drone starts to automatically land

I think there have been comments and threads here talking about the fact that you can't do a self-unlock of DJI's blue authorization zones with the Mini.
